Chemdawg Update: Week 8 of Vegetation

Last week of Vegetation for the Chemdawg!

How’s it going GreenBox Growers, and welcome back for the Chemdawg beginner grow series! Hey guys so for the first half of this week we are going to be preparing the plants for flower which is really exciting. This is going to entail trimming off those damaged leaves and then eventually doing a lollipopping, and then hopefully by the end of the week we will have flipped to flower. Yeah so probably by the end to the middle of this week is when we will be flipping, so let's get started with day one of the week now where we will be removing or trimming off any of the damaged foliage that is still left on the plants.

Hey guys, welcome back to the Chemdawg Grow Series, it is a new week today and as you can see the plants are looking pretty much back to their normal selves. The right plant does have some damage still on the leaves from the last Light, but we are going to go ahead and trim away those damaged leaves today and then it should be looking Tip-Top. Today we will also shake our CO2 canister, it is always good to do that early in the day remember.

And then we are going to do a light misting and also some LST on the very tallest tops, just to let the shorter ones continue growing upward, don't do LST on them. Okay so that does it for today guys, as we go on through this week especially during the early half, we are going to be prepping the plants more and more for flower. So today we are going to trim off those damaged leaves and then tomorrow we might do some lollipopping or maybe the day after that. Okay that does it for day one, we will see you tomorrow for day two!

Hey guys welcome back to the chemdawg grow series, so it is just the second day of this week and as you can see the plants are looking good. The right plant there might be some damage still happening here but it is much milder so I think the plant is improving and the problem is in recession.

So we will see what happens in the next few days here. Today we will be watering and it is going to be the third plane watering since our last nutrients feeding. We will of course Shake our CO2 canister and I think we are going to go ahead and do a little bit of LST just on the tallest tops today. And then we will finish up with a light misting.

For the watering remember to do a whole gallon split between the two plants, and that should do it. So we are going to go ahead and get all of that taken care of and then we will see you guys back tomorrow for day 3.

Hey guys, what up, welcome back to the chemdawg grow series, It is the third day of this week and just to give you a little update the left plant is looking great, good as always. The right plant however it's still looking a little iffy. I am not really sure why this is happening, based on what I have been looking at on all of the videos on Dylan's website, it looks like this could be some sort of light damage or some sort of heat stress.

It would make sense because this part of the plant, the left side the tops are the tallest so they would be the closest to the light. That is the only explanation that I could come up with because everything else seems to be just a little bit shorter than that and all of that part of the plant looks A-Okay. So that could be it oh, I am just going to try turning down the light a little bit, like 5 or 10%. I am going to try missing a little bit too cool that part of the plant down.

Today on the plants I don't think they need any water because the soil is still looking moist so no need to add any water today. We will do misting as I said and then just shake your CO2 canister. Alight guys we'll see you tomorrow for day 4!

Hey guys what's up, welcome back to the chemdawg grow series, it is the fourth day of the week and today we are going to be announcing a few things. For one, the plants are looking not so great or I should say the right plant is looking not so great and I suspect that based on what I have seen from Dylan's videos that it is from the nutrient burn. Because the upper leaves they don't really look burned but they are kind of curling and it sort of resembles a burn. And then on the lower leaves you can see that they are kind of crisping up and I suspect that is from the space year that we put into the tent.

Now I think that I just had it too high because that is obvious that the plants are starting to crisp up and they look like they are stressed out so I just lowered that a lot. But it is essential to have that space heater because it was getting too cold in the tent. So right now we are just playing a game of temperature but I think I now have the space heater at a lower power and we should be achieving a good middle ground that we are looking for. And then we are going to be doing a nutrient feeding today. It is still week for of the vegetative next for the dirty dozen nutrients feeding schedule.

We are only going to be doing half strength today because the plants are stressed out so we just want to keep it easy on them and we don't want to give them too much to handle. And then we replaced our CO2 canister as well and to do that just empty out the contents, clean it out with water and make sure it is good and rinsed out.

And then make sure it is somewhat dried off inside and then pour in the new starter, a liter of lukewarm water, shake it up and then you are good to go! And it is okay if it does not hiss the first day, that is normal. Okay so then other than that we will do a quick misting, we are not going to do LST because as I said the plants are a little stressed. And the misting will wrap it up for today, so we will go ahead and get that taken care of you guys and then we will see you tomorrow for day 5!

Hey guys, what's up and welcome back to the chemdawg grow series! It is day five of this week and today we are going to start taking care of those damaged leaves on the right plant, we are going to go ahead and trim away any of the ones that are curling or look cripsed up. and then the left plant we will also do a light defoliation. And in addition to that we will do the usual shaking of the CO2 canister and we will do just one spray bottles worth of water just to keep the soil moist and between the full waterings.

And then we will do a light misting on the plants. No worries on mean to light with the misting right now because we have delayed flowering and we are not sure when we are going to go into flower so do not worry too much about that right now. Okay so that does it for today and we are going to go ahead and get started with that deflation and the trimming of the damaged leaves and then I will see you back here tomorrow for day 6!

Hey guys what up and welcome to day 6 of The chemdawg Grow Series! Today we have a few things on the agenda, first of all go ahead and shake your CO2 canister and then today we are going to be doing the first plane watering since our last nutrient feeding. we are going to be doing a full gallon of plain water split between the two plants, we will also do a misting. And then we are also going to talk about the plan on the right.

So if you can see, it looks way better than it has the past few days. The leaves are finally not getting all crinkled and discolored and crisped. So I'm really happy about this right now and I am just going to let it be though for right now. I don't want to jinx it and hopefully in this next week we will see recovering growth and we do not see any more of those damaged leaves return.

I think the reason it is looking good is because I have maintained humidity and temperature better with that little space heater. So I think that is the reason that we are seeing some finally steady growth. Alright guys, that does it for today and then we will see you tomorrow for the last day of this week!

What up guys, welcome back to the chemdawg grow series, it is day 7 of this week and as you can see the plants are looking awesome! The left plan is always looks great, it has definitely gone through the scrog massively and you can see that the tops are really just exploding with growth. The plant on the right has made a comeback, really there is no damage I think there are like one or two leaves that show little or no damage.

But it has stopped and is in total remission. The plant looks really awesome so I'm really happy that that worked out as I was really stressed because this plant was looking great and then it really started going down on me, so I'm really happy to see it back at its best again. Today we are going to go ahead and Shake our CO2 canister again as always. We will do one spray bottles worth of water and then we are going to do a little bit of LST on the plants.

Now that the right is looking healthier and back to normal you can tell it is getting a lot of upward growth so we need to start training it again. And then we will do the left plant as well and then lastly you can go ahead and do the usual misting. Just a light one since we are going to get closer to flower here again soon.

Ok GreenBox Growers, so that concludes another successful week to the chemdawg beginner grow series.  Ya so the plants are looking really good, the right plant especially has recovered pretty much 100% since all of that damage that has happened. So in the next few days here we will let it just continue to rest and recover from all of that stress. But I think within a week we should be starting to head back towards flower but we will just be playing it by ear for now. So now we just want to double-check and really make sure that the plants aren't going to show any more signs of those stresses or issues because once we are in the flowering phase we can't really correct that or fix it and that is going to have a huge effect on our yields as well as the quality of our bud. So as Cody was saying hopefully over the course of this next week we will see that both plants are totally recovered and then we will flip them into flower. So until then we just want to thank you guys for watching this week's video, we really hope you enjoyed it and until next time…

Happy Growing!

Agent Orange Beginner Grow Update

Almost time for flower in the Agent Orange Tent!

Alright GreenBox Growers, we are now back here for the eighth week of vegetation to Cody's agent orange beginner grow series! So this could actually end up being the last week of vegetation but we are just going to have to play that by ear, we are just going to have to keep filling up the scrog as best as we can. This week we are going to be continuing to reduce the misting and just seeing how much they can fill up that scrog.

So yes pretty much like he was saying we're just prepping for the flowering stage and hopefully we get that scrog net filled out by the end of this week. All right guys so now that you know what we are doing in this week's video, let's go ahead and get started with the first day of the week!

Hey guys, welcome back to the agent orange grow series. So today's the first day of this week and we are going to be doing pretty simple stuff. We're going to shake our TNB Naturals CO2 canister, we will do a light misting. But as I have been saying we want to ease up on the misting so just a very very light today.

And then we will do a little bit of water in just a plain watering so we can keep the soil moist. This doesn't count as natural official watering. We are just keeping the soil from drying out too much and between actual waterings. And that does it take guys it's pretty simple and then we will see you tomorrow for day 2!

Hey guys, welcome back to the agent orange grow Series! So it is just the second day of the week and we already have some stuff to do, we have to first of all Shake hours TNB Naturals CO2 canister. And then we have a nutrient feeding to do today, we are going to be doing week 4 of the vegetative cycle again because that is the last stage of the vegetative cycle. And we are going to be doing it at full strength and we are going to be splitting one whole gallon between the two plants.

And then one cool thing we are going to be doing is adding do you lemon sweet to our mixture now. And this is hopefully going to impart a good flavor to our plants, and I figured we should use the lemon flavor on this one just because it is Agent Orange. So I figured it is going to be having a citrus notes already so I just wanted to enhance that and hopefully just really drive at the Citrus notes home. So we will see how that goes. And then of course we are going to be doing just a light misting, as I have been saying we are easing up on the misting as we are getting closer to flower because we do not want to encourage Bud rot.

And then just to remind you guys we are doing half a tablespoon her gallon of water for the cow mag and for the lemon sweet. And just to remind you, also the lemon sweet we are going to be doing only on the nutrient feedings during the vegetative cycle but once we enter into the flower stage we are going to be doing the lemon sweet with every kind of watering. So plain watering and nutrients feeding we will be using that during the flower phase only. So that does it for the second day of the week, it's a busy day and then we will see you tomorrow for day 3!

Hey guys, welcome back to the agent orange grow series! It is day 3 of this week and today we are going to be doing a few things. So we are first going to shake our TNB Naturals CO2 Canister just to get some good CO2 production into the air. And then we will have just a little bit of plain water to the soil, maybe half of a spray bottles worth just so we can keep the soil from really drying out in between waterings. And that is actually going to help the plants to retain more water when they get their full waterings.

And then we will do some light LST on the taller tops that are well through the scrog. And then we will do a light misting at the end oh, and just a reminder to do it pretty light the misting because we are getting pretty close to flower now and you don't want to risk getting Bud rot by over misting, so just keep that in mind. All right guys that is it for day 3 and we will see you tomorrow for the next day.

Hey guys, welcome back to the agent orange grow series. It is day four of the week here and we are looking good here with the plants, as you can see they are really filling out the scrog nicely and there's a lot of new vegetative growth going on. Almost all of the tops are up through the scrog, so today we are going to go ahead and Shake our CO2 canister. It is a watering day, and it is going to be our first plain watering since the last nutrient feeding.

And we are going to be doing a whole gallon split between these two plants. So about a half gallon each, and then we will do a little bit of LST, we will only do it on the plants or the tops that are through the scrog already. And we will let the lower tops make their way up through the scrog before working them. And then we will finish today with a misting and that will do it.

Hey guys, what's up it is day five for the agent orange grow this week. And as you can see the plants are doing great, we have a lot of cops coming through the scrog. The scrog is really getting well filled out and they are really looking bushy the plants as well. So today we are going to be shaking our CO2 canister, it is always good to do that early in the day remember.

We will do a little bit LST and with this LST round, go ahead and just focus on filling sort of the empty areas of the scrog. So if you noticed there's a gap fill it in by bending a couple branches that way. And that is all we are doing, so there will not be a whole lot of LST to do. And then we will do a watering today but it is just a in between watering so we will do about a spray bottles worth of water split between the two plants.

And then we will do a misting today as well, just a very light misting and remember we are getting very close to flower so we do not want to promote Bud rot once we get into flower. So that's it for today, shake your canister just a very light watering to keep the soil moist in between the actual waterings, a little bit of LST to fill out the SCROG and the final stages, and then a very light misting. That's it for today guys and then we will see you tomorrow for day 6!

Hey guys, what's up, welcome back to day 6 of the agent orange grow Series! Today we have a few things on the agenda, we first have to sake our CO2 canister. We are going to do a watering today, it is our second plain watering since the last nutrients feeding. And we are going to split a whole gallon between these two plants.

And then we will do just a light misting on these plants again as we want to ease up on the misting as we get close to flower. We want to keep the spray bottle up about 2 feet away I would say from the plants. But you know I would say over all the plants are looking great here, you can see they are getting really bushy and filling out, they are getting taller and more evenly dispersed throughout the scrog so it just looks really full almost now the SCROG.

So I am excited about these results, let's just keep an eye on them, keep filling out the scrog as best we can and hopefully we will be in flower within this next week here. Okay guys that does it for Day 6 we will see you tomorrow for the last day of this week!

Hey guys welcome back to the agent orange grow series, it is the last day of this week and today we have a few things on our agenda. First of all, go ahead and shake your CO2 canister. And then second on the list today you want to go ahead and give your plants just a little water to keep the soil moist.

Remember we don't want the soil to over dry in between the waterings, so just do about a bottle, a spray bottles worth split between the two plants. And then third, we are actually going to do a defoliation today. We've noticed that the plants are getting very bushy and kind of overgrown looking, and we have noticed that the main vegetative growth has slowed down.

So we are going to thin that out and hopefully that will result in vegetative growth speeding back up. So we are going to get that started and then we will finish up with a little bit of misting as well. Just a light one. All right that does it for today guys and then we will see you tomorrow for a new week!

Ok GreenBox Growers, so that officially concludes week 8 of vegetation to the agent orange begin our grow series by Cody! Ya so unfortunately we saw a little bit of slow growth, because of the light possibly but what we did this week or today is a quick defoliation, about 20% of the leaves we defoliated. And hopefully what that will do is allow to plant to focus more of its growing energy just on the tops rather than all of that foliage.

And then hopefully it will allow us to get the plants where we want them to for flower. It did create a delay so we are looking at probably a week or a week and a half delay but we will just have to see what happens. Yep, so ya thinning them out will hopefully cause them to grow back a lot faster. And we especially deflated the plant on the left because that is the one that is a little bit behind or the one we want to fill the scrog net out with a little further.

So we will see you guys back here shortly for the week 9 of vegetation video, and in the meantime we just want to thank you for watching this week's episode. We really hope you enjoyed it, and until next time…

Happy Growing!!!

WK 8 Veg OG Kush SCROG Grow

Lollipopping + Addition of 2nd SCROG Net!

What up Growers and welcome back to GreenBox Grown!  Now today officially kicks off week 8 of vegetation for the OG Kush Screen of Green Grow series. Now this is going to be the last week of vegetation, meaning we will flip the ladies to flower starting day 1 of week 9. And starting this week you will see here on day one that we will be lowering that one 300 watt electric sky LED. So now you guys know what we are doing in this week's video, let's get started with day one of the week where we are going to go over the lowering of that light as well as some more details on getting ready for flower!

Okay now here we are for day one of the week, and you can see the vegetative growth is continuing to do really well. And it might look like there isn't really a necessity for that second layer of the scrog net that we will be adding. But once we flipped these plants to flower they will actually still grow up to two-thirds of their current height. So adding that second layer will be great so they can grow through it as they are flowering. Now for today the plants are still good on water so no need to do anything with the soil there, we will be giving them their daily misting however after this shot. And of course shaking up the CO2 canisters if you have them in there.

Now I just wanted to show you guys the plants are recovering well since I turned off that second light. You can see there is still a bit of yellowing and there's upper leaves from the light stress. But that generally doesn't go away, you just want to make sure that the new Leaf growth doesn't show signs of that.  And that from what I am seeing so far is the case so we are good right now, also before I go I wanted to mention I did lower this light a few inches, it was actually about 4 in. I just added the adjustable hangers to the light and that way you can lower the light closer to the plants as we get closer to flower here a little bit each day.

And then that way they are ready for the second light to turn on once it comes time to flower. Now I will be putting the second scrog net up a few days or probably the day before flower, was we will do a lollipopping and some defoliation there to prepare for a flower. But I will give you more details at the end of this week once we are ready to do that. Until then we are just going to be doing the misting and watering schedule and yeah that's pretty much it. So I'm going to take care of that misting for today and then I will see you guys back here in 24 hours for day two of the week!

What up Growers, we are now back here for day two of the week and the ladies are looking superb, we are right on schedule in terms of being ready to flip to flower by next week. And you can see more tops or growing through that scrog net each and every day. So what we are going to be doing today is actually focusing on some more stress training, you can see in the middle of the night we've got some empty squares so I will be training these tops around there through those squares today. Just so we can fill that out before we flip to flower, that is pretty important to do that.

Now today you'll see the soil is nice and dry so the plants are ready for their next watering, that is going to be their third playing watering since their last nutrient feeding and we are going to be splitting and just over two gallons between all four of these plants. Now it seems like that amount has actually been working really well lately as it has been a little cooler here in Northern California. Now besides that we are going to be misting the plants of course and shaking of the CO2 bottles.

And I also wanted to let you guys know that I did lower the light today about 3 in. So we will be continuing to do that throughout the week, and then by day one of next week we should be ready to add that second layer of the scrog net as well as to do a lollipopping and defoliation in preparation for flipping to flower.

So then after that we will flip to flower probably a day or two after doing all of those steps. And then soon after we will be flipping on the second light and getting that going. So that is pretty much it for today's update oh, I'm going to go ahead and do that plane watering and misting as well as the low stress training. And then I will see you guys back here for day 3 of the week!

Okay so welcome back here for day 3 of the week, and as you guys just on that clip I was just doing a little bit of low stress training for those tops in the middle area just so we can fill in those empty squares. There is only a couple left that don't have a talk through them yet, so by the end of this week we will be good. I was also doing the tops that were a little on the taller side just so they don't get too tall and outgrow the light.

So besides that you saw I gave them a misting and then of course we are going to be shaking up the CO2 canisters as always and then that is really it for today's update. We are going to keep the light at the same height as it is right now because they are reacting really well to it and I don't want to move it to close at this point to stress them out again. So that's really it for today's update and we will see you back here in 24 hours for day for the week, peace!

It is now a day for the week for the OG Kush plants, and as you can see we now have tops and all of those squares of the scrog net that were empty previously. So what that means it is at this point we are going to completely stop with that low stress training, we are just going to let those tops grow upwards now until we start flower. So besides that I lowered the light about 3 in today and I will probably be doing it one more time as in one more lowering, before we flip on the second light and then at that point we will be raising it back up. But it is still important to continue lowering until we get to flower just so they get used to that extra intensity.

Now I will be shaking the CO2 canisters as always and I will be doing a misting, but I will be slowly tapering off with the misting, the amount I do over the next couple days here because we are approaching the flowering stage. And you want to kind of slowly get them used to not having that misting throughout the day, because we are going to completely stop once they flip to flower. Now besides that the plants are ready, or I'm sorry before I get to that now on day 7 of this week we are going to do the lollipopping and adding of the second layer of the scrog net. And then on day one of the next week, that is when we will be flipping them to flower. So I just wanted to give you guys a heads up on that, we will go into more details once we get to that point.

And also don't worry once we are in flour I will go over there changes in terms of temperature and humidity, as well as the lighting schedule so you guys know all about that. So plants are ready for their next watering today and it is going to be a nutrient feeding and what we are going to be doing is just repeating that week for a vegetation from the dirty dozen mix or I'm sorry from the Fox Farm Dirty Dozen schedule. And I am going to be splitting two gallons of water between all four of the plants. Now remember we are going to 1.5 teaspoons per gallon of water for the Cal Mag because we did have that Cal Mag deficiency.

Now the reason I bumped it back down to 2 gallons split between all four plants is because I noticed the extra water was just going to waste and wasn't making much of a difference. So what I have now done is I have switched to giving each plant one full spray bottle worth of water on the off days, so the in between days where I'm not giving the big buckets of water, I am just giving each plant one full spray bottle here and that seems to kind of tide them over until the next day when we do the big watering.

So we are going to do this nutrient feeding today, and then it is important to note that after that we are going to do one plant watering and then we are going to do this recommended flushing with their Sledgehammer flush. And that is to just help ready for the flowering phase because after that we will do the first flowering nutrient feeding. But that flushes just going to help flush out essentially any buildup of nutrients from the vegetative stage. All right Growers so that pretty much covers everything for day 4 of the week, I am going to give them that watering now and then I will see you guys back here in 24 hours for day 5 of the week. All right peace!

What is up GreenBox Growers And welcome back for day 5 of the week. No eyes have been mentioning we are just a couple days away from the flowering phase so I'm really stoked about that, so it is also really important now that we just keep these plans and it's good of Health as possible right into that flowering phase, and then of course all the way through the flowering phase. So now we want to avoid as much stress as possible because that is only going to affect our yields and quality of Bud negatively from here on out. So today is going to be a pretty simple one, of course going to give them a very light misting and I'm going to shake up the CO2 canisters.

Today is the off day for watering so I just gave them a really light watering of half a spray bottle per plant of just plain water. And you can see getting really bushy below the scrog net here, lower canopy area but we will be trying that up come day 7 of this week. Now I know I said I was not going to do any more LST for this grow but I decided that I am going to do one more today because I did find a few squares in the scrog net around the border that were still empty. And then also over here some of the tops we're getting a little tall so I just wanted to train them a little bit to prevent them from growing a light. So that's pretty much it for day 5 of the week and I'm going to go ahead and do that low stress training, and the light misting, and then we will see you guys back here for a day six!

We are now back here for the very next day of the week, and as you can see the plants are actually getting taller every day. And what I mean by taller is the tops are growing up and I through the scrog net probably a couple inches every day. So very happy with this vegetative growth, we are right on schedule for where we want to be when we flip to flower. And today's update is going to be a pretty simple one as we are just going to be shaking up those CO2 canisters, as well as giving a very light misting and then of course the plants are ready for their next watering.

So I'm going to be doing their first plain watering since the last nutrient feeding and I've got two gallons mixed up here at plain water and we're going to be splitting that between all for the plans. I just want to give you guys a quick little wood from underneath the canopy so you guys can see what it looks like. It is getting pretty but she down here so it is ready for that defoliation. As I have been saying, tomorrow we are going to lollipop these plants as well as at that second layer of the scrog net.

And the lollipopping of course is going to help with increasing yields as well as getting more light down to those lower nodes. And then the second layer of the scrog net is just going to help with preventing those tops from stretching too tall. Alright guys so I'm going to go ahead and do that light misting as well as that plane watering and then I will see you guys back here for day 7 of the week where we are going to go ahead and do that lollipopping as well as add that second layer of the scrog net.

All right growing so it is finally the day we have all been waiting for oh, and what that is is we are going to be adding that second layer of the scrog net as well as doing our lollipopping. So before I get into that, first of all we are going to be giving a light misting to the plants today as well as shake up the CO2 canisters. And then sense it is the off watering day what we are going to do is just give, it's actually about a half of a spray bottle to about 3/4 of a spray bottle per plant, and I am just going to be watering plain water today just to tide them over hold them over until tomorrow.

So for the scrog net all you have to do is add that right above the plants or the layer of foliage at the top, so I will have the scrog about 2in above the tallest parts of the plants here and then for the lollipopping, that is essentially going to be like the defoliations we've been doing. But we are really going to focus on this time around is the lower parts of the canopy. So first we are going to remove all leaves from the lower third of the plant and that is to just prevent any larfy growth from happening down below there. After that we are going to remove any branches that did not quite make it up to you to scrog net.

If they are a few inches away from growing through, that is okay you can leave them. But stuff that is down below and doesn't have a chance to make it through, you want to remove that. So what we were going to do now is we are going to defoliate the first three plants here, just so you can see what they look like afterwards. And then you will have a good before with that forth plant that has yet to be done. So let me get started with that and then we will be back after I have these first three plants defoliated.

Now once you have completely removed all leaves from the lower third of the plant as well as any tops that didn't make it through the scrog net, you are also going to watch it then out the growth and foliage that is above the SCROG net. So we are going to again remove about 20 to 30% of all the leaves in that area, the upper canopy. And that is just to help thin that out to allow for more light penetration down below the scrog net.

So now that you guys understand what we are going to be doing for the lollipopping and adding the scrog net, I am going to go ahead and get started with that and then again we are going to defoliate three of the plants right now. We're going to lollipop them, and then leave one of them undone just so you can see the comparison between what they look like when they are finished to what they look like before hand. So now we are going to get started with that lollipopping and then I'll see you guys afterwards for that comparison.

Okay so you guys can see we just finished adding that first or that second layer of the scrog net as well as defoliating those three plants. So as you can probably tell the plant in the front raise the one that did not get the defoliation or the lollipopping yet, and let me just show you guys an aerial view of how that should look. Obviously you can see you can pretty much see all the way down below the canopy straight to the soil. Through most of those Tops on the ones we already trimmed up, and that is exactly what we want because that is going to allow for the maximum yields as well as more Bud development and less LARFY buds down below.

So now let me show you guys below the scrog real quick so you can see the lollipopping. And as you can see that lower third on these three plants we already did is completely trimmed up. Still a lot of growth down here as well as a scraggly tops that I'm going to quite make it through the SCROG net. And you guys can see in the video we removed quite a few of those from the plants we already defoliated. You can see how well we trimmed up that lower third of the plants here down below the canopy. And again what that's going to allow for is more air circulation down here which will prevent pests as well as mold from forming, and then it is also going to make it so enough light can reach down here so there is no LARFY bud development.

Now you can see the scrog net is looking really good, we put it about 2 to 3 in above the tallest parts of the plants and they are going to start growing through that pretty quickly even though we are flipping to flower tomorrow. But with the purpose of the second layer is is to basically support those branches as they get taller and a little lankier. And that way once they pack on a lot of weight with that bud development they don't start too lean or snap or anything like that. So what I'm going to do now is Lollipop this last plant right here, and then I will see you guys back here for the first day of next week.

Oh and one more quick thing I want to show you guys, here is pretty much all of the leaves we trimmed off of the plant so far. There are some back down there around the plants as well, but you can see it is a pretty good amount and that is just because we remove so many of the branches that didn't really make it through the scrog net where were just way too small and weren't going to do anything. And we really thinned out the upper part of the canopy. Let me just give you guys a quick look at that again.

So yeah just in comparison you can't really see any of the soil to the plant and it doesn't look like any light is going to make it through there. And then over here you can start to see the soil down there and the buckets where the plants are planted in so that's a good sign that that full light penetration is going to make it down there for fully developed buds. Alright guy said that officially concludes this week's video and then I will see you back here for next week.

Alright GreenBox Growers, so that officially concludes week 8 of vegetation where the OG Kush Screen of Green Grow series. So now that we've got that lollipopping finished and have added the second layer of the Scruggs net, that means tomorrow which is day 1 of week 9, we are going to be flipping these plants into the flowering stage. So very excited for that and we are probably going to see some quick pistols pumping out of these plants within the first week of doing so, and then probably within another week's time we will be flipping on that second 300 watt electric sky LED. I just want to give them a little bit of time to recover from that lollipopping that we just did. And also a little bit of time to adjust now that we are flipping them to flower come tomorrow. So as always I want to thank you guys for watching this week's episode, I really hope you enjoyed it, and until next time…

Happy Growing!!!

Week 8 of Vegetation for the Screen of Green Grow Series

The final week of Vegetation for the SCROG Grow

What’s up cannabis growers, My name is Dylan and welcome back for Week 8 of the Screen of Green Series.  This video will cover the very last week of veg as well as the SCROG Training and watering schedule.  Since I will be flipping these plants to flower next week, it is important you really focus on getting as many branches as possible through the Screen.  Remember to visit greenboxgrown.com if you want to move ahead to the flowering stage of this grow series.   Alright, now lets get started with day 1 of the week where I will be training the taller branches with the SCROG.

You can see there are now a lot of new branches poking through, which is exactly what I want to happen!  Some of the tops are barely through the screen while others have grown 5 inches above it!  What I like to do when I am training with a SCROG is I will start with the branches on the outside, furthest from the center of my plant.  I will train the ones that are tall enough to be pulled to a further away square and the others I will leave be till they are tall enough.  Then I work my way to the middle till there are no longer any branches that need to be trained.

Now I will give these plants their next nutrient feeding which will again be the week 4 mix from the Fox Farms Dirty Dozen.  It will also include 1 tsp of cal mag per gallon of water and half a tsp of coco wet per gallon of water.  Once every thing has been mixed and stirred, I test the pH and then adjust so it is in the range of 5.8-6.3.   I am also mixing a bottle of the flower kiss foliar spray for misting the plants with.  Now that the plants are pretty large, I am soaking all the soil and getting about 10% runoff out the bottom of the pots.  Once I am done watering I give a good misting above and below the SCROG and I am all done!

This is day 4 of the week and while I have more tops growing through the SCROG, there aren’t any that are tall enough to be moved horizontally.  Here you can see there is a lot of growth and foliage underneath t he SCROG that has yet to make it through the SCROG.  Everything that doesn’t make it through by the start of flower will be trimmed away so that all bud growth is focused on the main ones up top where all the light is!  This results in higher yields and more quality yields, as you avoid those airy popcorn buds.  I will explain how to do this process once we get to that point of the grow!

Another day later and the plants are still not ready for a watering, so I will just be misting them today.  Remember to mist several times throughout the day during veg, especially when it is hot out, and to spray above and below the screen so you get full coverage.

Here is another really cool shot of below the screen and you can see it is so dense with foliage here that you cant really see to the other side of the greenhouse!  Once I trim these plants up for flower, it will be very easy to see all the way through which is good as it allows for more airflow.

This is the final day of week 8 and there are even more tops poking through the screen with some being ready for some more training.  The SCROG is looking to be almost 50% full which is good because these plants will grow another third in size during flower.  During that time I expect the squares on of the SCROG will become almost 100% full.  Remember to start with the outside branches and to work your way towards the center as this makes it so the center branches have space to move out towards.

Alright folks that concludes week 8 of the Screen of Green Series by GreenBox Grown!  Once you are ready, you can move on to week 9 where I will be flipping these plants into flower to get those buds growing!  If you enjoyed the video, please give it a thumbs up and comment below with your feedback.  Also, don’t forget to subscribe to the GreenBox Grown channel and to turn on the notifications for updates on my latest grows!  As always, thank you for watching and until next time…

Happy Growing!
