Chemdawg Update: Week 8 of Vegetation

Last week of Vegetation for the Chemdawg!

How’s it going GreenBox Growers, and welcome back for the Chemdawg beginner grow series! Hey guys so for the first half of this week we are going to be preparing the plants for flower which is really exciting. This is going to entail trimming off those damaged leaves and then eventually doing a lollipopping, and then hopefully by the end of the week we will have flipped to flower. Yeah so probably by the end to the middle of this week is when we will be flipping, so let's get started with day one of the week now where we will be removing or trimming off any of the damaged foliage that is still left on the plants.

Hey guys, welcome back to the Chemdawg Grow Series, it is a new week today and as you can see the plants are looking pretty much back to their normal selves. The right plant does have some damage still on the leaves from the last Light, but we are going to go ahead and trim away those damaged leaves today and then it should be looking Tip-Top. Today we will also shake our CO2 canister, it is always good to do that early in the day remember.

And then we are going to do a light misting and also some LST on the very tallest tops, just to let the shorter ones continue growing upward, don't do LST on them. Okay so that does it for today guys, as we go on through this week especially during the early half, we are going to be prepping the plants more and more for flower. So today we are going to trim off those damaged leaves and then tomorrow we might do some lollipopping or maybe the day after that. Okay that does it for day one, we will see you tomorrow for day two!

Hey guys welcome back to the chemdawg grow series, so it is just the second day of this week and as you can see the plants are looking good. The right plant there might be some damage still happening here but it is much milder so I think the plant is improving and the problem is in recession.

So we will see what happens in the next few days here. Today we will be watering and it is going to be the third plane watering since our last nutrients feeding. We will of course Shake our CO2 canister and I think we are going to go ahead and do a little bit of LST just on the tallest tops today. And then we will finish up with a light misting.

For the watering remember to do a whole gallon split between the two plants, and that should do it. So we are going to go ahead and get all of that taken care of and then we will see you guys back tomorrow for day 3.

Hey guys, what up, welcome back to the chemdawg grow series, It is the third day of this week and just to give you a little update the left plant is looking great, good as always. The right plant however it's still looking a little iffy. I am not really sure why this is happening, based on what I have been looking at on all of the videos on Dylan's website, it looks like this could be some sort of light damage or some sort of heat stress.

It would make sense because this part of the plant, the left side the tops are the tallest so they would be the closest to the light. That is the only explanation that I could come up with because everything else seems to be just a little bit shorter than that and all of that part of the plant looks A-Okay. So that could be it oh, I am just going to try turning down the light a little bit, like 5 or 10%. I am going to try missing a little bit too cool that part of the plant down.

Today on the plants I don't think they need any water because the soil is still looking moist so no need to add any water today. We will do misting as I said and then just shake your CO2 canister. Alight guys we'll see you tomorrow for day 4!

Hey guys what's up, welcome back to the chemdawg grow series, it is the fourth day of the week and today we are going to be announcing a few things. For one, the plants are looking not so great or I should say the right plant is looking not so great and I suspect that based on what I have seen from Dylan's videos that it is from the nutrient burn. Because the upper leaves they don't really look burned but they are kind of curling and it sort of resembles a burn. And then on the lower leaves you can see that they are kind of crisping up and I suspect that is from the space year that we put into the tent.

Now I think that I just had it too high because that is obvious that the plants are starting to crisp up and they look like they are stressed out so I just lowered that a lot. But it is essential to have that space heater because it was getting too cold in the tent. So right now we are just playing a game of temperature but I think I now have the space heater at a lower power and we should be achieving a good middle ground that we are looking for. And then we are going to be doing a nutrient feeding today. It is still week for of the vegetative next for the dirty dozen nutrients feeding schedule.

We are only going to be doing half strength today because the plants are stressed out so we just want to keep it easy on them and we don't want to give them too much to handle. And then we replaced our CO2 canister as well and to do that just empty out the contents, clean it out with water and make sure it is good and rinsed out.

And then make sure it is somewhat dried off inside and then pour in the new starter, a liter of lukewarm water, shake it up and then you are good to go! And it is okay if it does not hiss the first day, that is normal. Okay so then other than that we will do a quick misting, we are not going to do LST because as I said the plants are a little stressed. And the misting will wrap it up for today, so we will go ahead and get that taken care of you guys and then we will see you tomorrow for day 5!

Hey guys, what's up and welcome back to the chemdawg grow series! It is day five of this week and today we are going to start taking care of those damaged leaves on the right plant, we are going to go ahead and trim away any of the ones that are curling or look cripsed up. and then the left plant we will also do a light defoliation. And in addition to that we will do the usual shaking of the CO2 canister and we will do just one spray bottles worth of water just to keep the soil moist and between the full waterings.

And then we will do a light misting on the plants. No worries on mean to light with the misting right now because we have delayed flowering and we are not sure when we are going to go into flower so do not worry too much about that right now. Okay so that does it for today and we are going to go ahead and get started with that deflation and the trimming of the damaged leaves and then I will see you back here tomorrow for day 6!

Hey guys what up and welcome to day 6 of The chemdawg Grow Series! Today we have a few things on the agenda, first of all go ahead and shake your CO2 canister and then today we are going to be doing the first plane watering since our last nutrient feeding. we are going to be doing a full gallon of plain water split between the two plants, we will also do a misting. And then we are also going to talk about the plan on the right.

So if you can see, it looks way better than it has the past few days. The leaves are finally not getting all crinkled and discolored and crisped. So I'm really happy about this right now and I am just going to let it be though for right now. I don't want to jinx it and hopefully in this next week we will see recovering growth and we do not see any more of those damaged leaves return.

I think the reason it is looking good is because I have maintained humidity and temperature better with that little space heater. So I think that is the reason that we are seeing some finally steady growth. Alright guys, that does it for today and then we will see you tomorrow for the last day of this week!

What up guys, welcome back to the chemdawg grow series, it is day 7 of this week and as you can see the plants are looking awesome! The left plan is always looks great, it has definitely gone through the scrog massively and you can see that the tops are really just exploding with growth. The plant on the right has made a comeback, really there is no damage I think there are like one or two leaves that show little or no damage.

But it has stopped and is in total remission. The plant looks really awesome so I'm really happy that that worked out as I was really stressed because this plant was looking great and then it really started going down on me, so I'm really happy to see it back at its best again. Today we are going to go ahead and Shake our CO2 canister again as always. We will do one spray bottles worth of water and then we are going to do a little bit of LST on the plants.

Now that the right is looking healthier and back to normal you can tell it is getting a lot of upward growth so we need to start training it again. And then we will do the left plant as well and then lastly you can go ahead and do the usual misting. Just a light one since we are going to get closer to flower here again soon.

Ok GreenBox Growers, so that concludes another successful week to the chemdawg beginner grow series.  Ya so the plants are looking really good, the right plant especially has recovered pretty much 100% since all of that damage that has happened. So in the next few days here we will let it just continue to rest and recover from all of that stress. But I think within a week we should be starting to head back towards flower but we will just be playing it by ear for now. So now we just want to double-check and really make sure that the plants aren't going to show any more signs of those stresses or issues because once we are in the flowering phase we can't really correct that or fix it and that is going to have a huge effect on our yields as well as the quality of our bud. So as Cody was saying hopefully over the course of this next week we will see that both plants are totally recovered and then we will flip them into flower. So until then we just want to thank you guys for watching this week's video, we really hope you enjoyed it and until next time…

Happy Growing!

Week 6 of Vegetation Chemdawg Beginner Grow

Chemdwag SCROG Net is filling out Quickly!

What up GreenBox Growers and welcome back for week 6 of vegetation to be chemdawg beginner grow series! So now that we have gotten that plant all defoliated and we have added that second light in, you can see that that plant on the left is caught up while it is not caught up but it is definitely doing much better. And I can imagine in the next week or so it should be at the scrog and then hopefully after the following week after that, it will be through the scrog. And then after those two weeks hopefully we will be able to go into flower.

Yeah so the second light is definitely helping with the left plant and speeding the growth up for that. I think like Cody was saying, the right plant I just kind of overgrown the left one and was kind of shadowing it and that is why it hasn't really reached this frog yet. But I would say hopefully this week is the week when it will reach the scrog and then hopefully throughout next week we will fill out the scrog net and then like Cody was saying after that we will flipping to flower. So now that you guys know we are doing in this week's video, let's get started with day one of the week!

Hey guys, welcome back to the chemdawg grow series! So does the first day of this week and today we are not going to be doing too much since we have been doing a whole lot with the plants yesterday. We are going to be doing a misting, of course go ahead and shake your tnb Naturals CO2 canister. And then we are going to raise a the light power of it on our new light over here.

It is going to go up another 7 to 10% somewhere in there, the dial is not totally precise and just to remind you this is our new CannaGrow 200w LED that we put in this tent just to augment the light power For the plants. Okay so let's get that misting going for the guys, all right and I already shook the CO2 canister because I like to do it early in the day so they get the maximum benefit of the CO2. So that's already taken care of, the light is raised and we will see you guys tomorrow for day 2!

Hey guys welcome back to become dog grow series! It is the second day of the week and we have kind of a lot of things to do today. So for one we are going to be shaking our TNB naturals CO2 canister of course. We are going to be doing a little bit of LST here, we are going to be doing a nutrient feeding today, it is week 4 of the vegetative cycle from the fox farm Dirty Dozen feeding schedule.

And we wanted to point something out here, so on the right plant you can see there is some markings showing up on the leaves, and this is a sign of a Calcium deficiency, Cal Mag deficiency. So what we are going to do today is double the amount of cal-mag that we use in our gallon of water. So we will use two teaspoons instead of one.

Hopefully that will make the difference but we will have to just keep an eye on it and see what happens so, this is the first time this has happened to me on this grow, so you know some trouble has to happen and then, you have to learn somehow. And then other than that we are going to be doing some misting as usual, and then that should do it. It is a gallon of water today, like I said. And then that will do it for day 2. And we will see you tomorrow for day 3!

Hey guys, welcome back to the Chemdawg grow series. It is day three today and as you can see the plants are looking pretty good. The plant on the right still seems to be showing some signs of either cal-mag deficiency, perhaps phosphorus, but we went ahead and clipped those leaves away.

So hopefully no more leaves return with that deficiency sign. And it is okay that that showed back, I mean I'm sure it doesn't just respond immediately it is possible that it will take a few nutrients feeding before the plant really shows a restored amount from that deficiency. And then other than that today, just shake your tnb naturals CO2 canister and then we will do a light watering today.

Just splitting about a half of a misting bottles worth between the two plants. No misting, we kind of want to wean the plants off of the misting as we get up to flower. And then no LST today, we want to give the plants a rest today. Okay so that does it for day 3 you guys, we will see you tomorrow for day four!

Hey guys, welcome back to the Chemdawg Grow Series!  It is the fourth day of the week today, and we got a couple things on the agenda. For one we are going to be replacing our tnb naturals CO2 Canister. We have to empty it out, clean it out and then we will refill it with one of these packets.

You will use the entire packet of sort of like this dry powdery material. And then you will add a liter of lukewarm water to that, and then just shake it up and you are all set. And it is okay if it doesn't hiss when you do it that first time, that is pretty normal. And then today we are also going to do a plain water in, this is the first plane watering since the last nutrient feeding, we are going to split a gallon between these two plants and then we are going to do a very light misting.

We really want to kind of ease off the misting now as we are getting closer to flower because once you are in the flower stage is really important to not get those buds with too much humidity otherwise they are going to get some bud rot going. Okay so that does it for today you guys, we will get this all taken care of and then we will see you tomorrow back for day 5 of the week!

Hey guys, welcome back to the Chemdawg Grow Series, so it is the 5th day of this week and today we have very little to do actually. So for one just be sure to shake up your TNB Naturals CO2 canister. Cover the central Hall and give it a good shake, and then we will be doing just a very light misting today.

As I've been saying as the plants get closer to flower you just don't want to give them too much mist because that can lead to Bud rot during the flower stage. So it's very mild just like that, and then that does it. We will see you tomorrow for the 6th day of this week!

Hey guys, what's up it is day 6 of the Chemdawg Grow Series. Today we do not have a whole lot to do, we are going to shake the TNB Naturals CO2 canister as usual. We've already done so, I recommend doing it earlier in the day just so you can get the full benefit of that. And then today it is time for a water in, we are going to do a whole gallon of just plain water split between these two plants. And then no LST today, we are just going to let the plants rest there. But we will do a light misting on the plants after all of the watering and shaking of the CO2.

Just a little bit, we kind of want to ease the plants off the misting as we get closer to flower to prevent Bud rot from happening. And just to remind you this is our second plain watering since our last nutrient feeding. So we still have one more to go before we get to the next round of nutrients. Okay so that does it for day 6 you guys, and then tomorrow is the last day of the week and we will see you then!

Hey guys, welcome back to the Chemdawg Grow Series!  It is the last day of this week and today we are going to start off by shaking the TNB Naturals CO2 canister. It is good to do that early in the day just so you get the maximum benefit of that CO2, and then we will go ahead and give about a half a spray bottle worth of water to these plants today just to get them through to their next watering.

It is better to keep the soil moist and that way when they do get a full watering they are actually more likely to retain the water. And then we will do a little bit of light LST today oh, I'm just going to work on the tall tops, anything that is beneath the scrog I will let be. But if it is through the strong then I will do some LST on it.

And then of course we will finish today with a light misting and remember it is important to keep it very light as we get closer to the flowering stage. You do not want to end up with some bud rot! Okay so that does it for today you guys, we will finish this week with a bang I hope, and then we'll see you tomorrow for a whole new week!

Ok GreenBox Growers, that officially concludes week 6 of vegetation for the Chemdawg Beginner Grow Series by Cody! So yeah now that we have bad left plant reaching the scrog net, the goal is to start training it outwards and hopefully we can get it to fill up that end of the scrog and getting a full plant on that end.

So we will see what happens in the next one to two weeks and hopefully we can get the flower at that point. Yep so hopefully we can get it to train out and fill that half of the SCROG Net pretty quickly.  And we will see you guys back here shortly for the week 7 update of vegetation for the Chemdawg Beginner Grow Series! until then I just want to thank you guys for watching this week's episode, we really appreciate it and until next time…

Happy Growing!
