Explosive Growth by the Limoncello Haze Mother Plant
What Up GreenBox Growers and welcome back to the most Lit Cannabis grow Channel on YouTube! Now today I am officially starting week 3 of my mother plant and cloning how to grow series, and I am going to be continuing with the lst and watering schedule this week. I was also talking in the last or at the end of the last video about how there is probably only going to be three to four more weeks of veg, maybe less, before I start taking clones, just because of how fast this limoncello Haze plant has been growing. now I expect a lot more vegetative growth this week, and hopefully a whole new set of Topps will be coming up below the canopy, because I will be continuing that low-stress training.
Now before I get started with this week's a video, I want to remind you guys that if you are struggling with your first cannabis grow or looking for help on where to get started, feel free to hit me up as I help people vote for the phone one on one with some grow guidance. And you can see down in the description that there is a link to my patreon page as well as my email and phone number, and if you hit me up there on my contact info I do have a free trial going on to that one on one grow guidance going on right now. So feel free to contact me and ask me how to sign up for that, and again if you do sign up I will be helping you each day over the phone just showing you what needs to be done so you can get the best results possible. I also want to remind you guys to check out our merch under the Merch and Smoke section at greenboxgrown.com, and now that you know what we are doing in today's video let's get started with day 1 of the week!
Alright Growers here we are for the first day of week 3 for the mother plant and cloning series, and you can see the Limoncello Haze mother plant is just blowing up with explosive vegetative growth. So the top there is leaning a little bit just because I was working a little bit of LST on her, and I decided that today I'm going to show you guys that I'm going to try that main top down one more time, and you can see some more main tops have already been popping up through the canopy here. However there is a good set I don't know if I can give you a shot on them, but there is a big set of new Topps coming up, let's see, yeah I will show you guys once I put the camera down and start bending. But there is a couple new Tops coming up through the canopy, so once I Tie this down and expose light to that area, those are going to shoot up probably by tomorrow to be honest.
Because I mean this lady has been growing so fast I mean literally night and day you can see a change. So, I watered yesterday with the plane pH water so we are good today for that no need to water, and I just checked the soil it is definitely still moist very wet actually. So yeah we are good for a while on that. So okay here is the mother plant all ready for her training and I've got my piece of gardening tie right here soft Garden wire. And I'm going to show you guys again using that same hook method. So it's this Mane top right here I'm going to be pulling down, and I'm going to do it right in this direction so it exposes these tops. I don't know if you can see that there's a big Branch coming up right here. And then right here there's another big top as well.
So I am going to pull her down right in this direction and then hook it again on the side one of the knobs, and I am kind of doing this strategically as you will see the way I am pulling and I'm not going to be covering up any tops that are trying to come up through the canopy. So this is really for maximum yields or / maximum tops to grow them up to the bottom of the canopy. So first I'm just going to Loop this hook right around the main top. And I'm probably going to do it right below you can see this node right here with the 2 tops growing up, let me give you guys a close up on that.
So here is the note and you can see there's the top right there and then one on the other side, so right below right here is where I'm going to Anchor that hook for that LST. So I'm just going to get her back in position for that shot, here we go and I'm going to turn the pot a little bit so you can see where I am pulling her a little better. Right here, and then I'm going to just Loop that around and you can Loop it around a couple times if you want but one time is usually enough. And again I am trying not to get any leaves or branches caught up in it. It can be difficult doing that but yeah, the least amount of damage possible is what you want to do at all times. So always being gentle, as these ladies can be sensitive so. Alright I've got the hook on there without damaging any of these new tops and now I'm just going to pull it down to about right there and then I'm going to loop around.
And you can see once you have it hooked around that Branch, it's pretty strong and you can pull pretty tightly and it's not going to pull off and that's how you know it's going to be a reliable anchor. And then there I'm just going to loop around a couple of these knobs like that and then we are all done. Now you will notice not a footprint of the light is going to have to be a lot wider because now this planet is a lot wider, so I'm going to hopefully raise the light a little more and hopefully turn on that vegetative switch so I can get some more wattage in here, cuz again I am still on that seedling dial only.
You can see there has been a lot of growth since yesterday so there is a lot of tops, and now you can see now that I've done this low stress training you can see I am exposing a lot more growth that is now going to grow up through the canopy, so that's going to be really good. And I'll be back to show you guys. Tomorrow and another 24 hours, and I am betting that this talk will be pointed back up towards the sky. And I bet you this top or these two tops that I just exposed I bet they are going to blow up, and I bet there will be a few more others That blow up through the canopy.
Alright guys I'm all done today with the training, but before I go I will just wanted to give you a quick aerial view of what that will look like and to give you kind of an idea of what I am going for. So you can see I've got tons of light being exposed below the canopy and the ideas that now all of those little branches are going to grow up and become Bane tops. And you can see that's the main top right there that I just pulled over, and it's pulling almost down to the ground but like I said I bet by tomorrow it's going to be pointing right back up towards the sky and a ton of more tops that are growing back up.
Alright Growers, here we are 24 hours later for day 2 of week 3, and yesterday was that last pull down with low stress training on that main chop, and it's already turned back up and is pointing back towards the sky and I am really stoked because it does look like we have achieved that kind of tabletop shape of the plant. So that is great for growing tons of talked, and of course that is what we want to do in this gross serious because we're going to clone this plant and turn all those tops into their own separate plants. So I'm going to give you guys a quick look at that new growth, you can see from this angle everything is pretty much standing straight up, it is growing towards the right of the pot so I'll start training things towards the left By tying down some of those branches.
But you'll see right here it's basically just a flat table top where all the branches are kind of at the same height widening out instead of growing outwards. Like that normal shape that you would think of, so that is good because that is what I want to do here. All right guys to the plant is ready for its next watering, as you can see here this soil is dry and inch deep, and she is ready for her next nutrient feeding. So that is what I have mixed up here today, and I will be doing the week 2 of vegetation mix.
So you can see right there that is what I mixed up, I did it at half strength because this is only the third nutrient feeding, so for example when it calls for 6 teaspoons I just do 3, and then I mix it up and do a half a teaspoon of Cal Mag per gallon of water, and then pH it to six point three. I will also give her a misting after the watering. So there will not be any LST training today, but I will start that up again tomorrow with these branches over here that are growing up. And I'm going to start training them into this Direction over to the left, so that I can start growing over to that part of the pot and not All leaning over to one side.
Now I will do that nutrient watering, and at this point you'll probably want to do about three-quarters maybe a half a gallon to 3/4 of a gallon of water for a plant of this size, we will see in this pot how much runoff we get, but I have a whole gallon mixed up and I probably won't use all of that but again at this point you want to be getting all of the soil wet and not just water at the center. So water all the way to the edges of the pot all the way around, and you do want to be getting run off at this point.
Maybe like 5 to 10%. So I'm going to let this and then I'll give it a little bit more, but right now do that plane pH misting and you'll see if you do have that dirty dozen it does have a foliar spray on it. The flower kiss foliar spray, I'm not using. Just cuz I like to use the plane pH water on the leaves. I've never really noticed too much of a difference with the foliar spray, maybe I will do a comparison video one day or comparison grow where I do use a foliar spray versus not. But you can see I'm still getting a lot of great vegetative and Healthy Growth with these leaves without that. So letting that soak a little bit and then I will finish giving them a little bit more nutrients, but that is.
Alright Growers here we are another 24 hours later for the very next day and growth is just continuing to take off, we've got tons of tops continuing up through the canopy here. And you can see that was the main original top right here and you can still kind of towel because of the big fan leaves surrounding it, but you can also see these ones over here look just about as big as that one. And if you remember these if you days ago these were just tiny little leaves, that were just Under The Canopy so now they look just as big as that main top I've been turned down. She doesn't need any new water in the soil today as she's good on that, but I will miss like I do everyday several times throughout the day.
And you can see here, these cops are starting to get some good height to them, and I'm going to do some training just the 3-finger LST on these ones, and that is just to continue with letting more light and underneath. And I unhook that but I will retire in a second here, and again that is going to continue with letting more light into below the canopy so that more of those tops can grow up and become main big ones like these ones here. So just out and away from the middle of the plant and let's see, so here for example if you can see for example that little talk right there. That is what most of these tots, so like this guy right here that is what most of these tots that are up here through the main canopy Looked like when they first started.
And then once I trained the tops above them out of the way so they got some light, they turned into these big guys here. And you can see they've got pretty stick stocks already almost as if, check out this one back here that's going to be a really good clone right there and I bet it will produce several different tops from it. But anyways that's really it for today just continue once every couple days with that, and I will show you once I tie things down. The light is still just on that seedling switch only so I'm thinking maybe next week I will turn on the bed switch I haven't decided yet though. And this is still growing really well so there isn't really a need for that.
Keeping temperature and humidity of the same 60 to 65% And for temperature, anywhere in the range from 70 to 79 degrees Fahrenheit. Or I guess before I go I also want to give you a quick aerial view just to show you what the plant looks like from above after the training. And you can tell when you've done a good job because you can see the main stalk here you can see how exposed it is too light. We're before it had all these tops covering up that area, so that's just going to help create a lot more explosive growth up from the canopy. And again I will be back in 24 hours to show you guys how this training takes effect.
Alright Growers we are here another 24 hours later for the very next day of the week and you can see there are tons of growth going on here in terms of vegetative growth, and there are a lot more tops. So let's get in for a closer look here so I can show you really quick and aerial shot. And you can see how wide the plan is getting at this point. So we are keeping it short as you can see but we are growing her wide like that table top shape I've been mentioning earlier and that last clip. And that is so we can maximize the amount of tops we can get without having to grow her too tall and have that lighting not reaching below the canopy. Growing It Wide makes it easier to get light to all of the tops because if they are all right they're getting the same amount of exposure to the light.
Today today I don't think I will be doing any training as I will just let them grow up some more so they can get taller. In terms of the tops, and then what I will do tomorrow is tie them down a little bit so that they are out wider. You can see this top here is growing pretty tall and that'll be so I can why not the base out there. So you can see, let's see we got one top there, two three tops there and then another fourth one, right there, if it's right there, 6th, 7th, and 8 one so I'll tuck this Leaf under there so this guy can pop up and that'll help you at the 8th and going. There a potential clones right there right off the bat. And we are only what is its week 3 of veg.
So that is pretty good and I am still going to give them a few more weeks of veg or her a few more weeks of veg so we can get some more potential clones, but yeah it for now just going to be misting with a plain pH water and I checked the soil a little bit ago and is still really moist so I don't need to water today. Keeping temperature in that same range of 72 to about 79 or 78 degrees Fahrenheit and then around 65% free humidity. Or I guess so that is it for today and I will be back in another 24 hours for the next day of the week. All right now so let me give you a zoomed-out shot again so you guys can just see how big this Limoncello has mother plant is really getting.
Alright guys we are back here for day 5 of the week And she's going to be ready for some more LST today so I will be demonstrating that on some of the new tops that popped up, but just to give you guys a quick idea of how much growth there has been as of late. She is definitely taking off and getting that perfect bushy shape which is great but like I keep mentioning. And I don't even think I'll need to top her because she was growing just as me to Tops as we need just with the LST training. The new tops that I'm going to be pulling down today or going to be on the left side and I will be pulling them towards the left side of the pot just so I can fill out that area.
I am going to tie down this guy right here, this one right there and then Vince one there and I'm going to going to pull them out or fan them out in that direction and that will allow New Growth to go to the left of the pot as well as New Growth from upload a canopy there. So I've got three different pieces of my gardening wire or soft wire, and I'm just going to use that same hook method and then tie it off on one of the knobs here on the side of the pot. So I always tie down the tallest top first because that's going to expose the most amount of light to the below the canopy, and then I can strategically placed the rest around it.
So this guy right here is definitely the tallest top out of the three, so I'm just going to Loop this around the neck if you will right below this first node. So I'm going to do it right there, and just hook this anchor on. Just like that, and then you're going to pull it down gently of course and tie it to the side of the pot. So down like that and it's very hard for me to do it without blocking the camera so let me do this real quick and I'll be right back.
Alright so I just turn the pot so I can give you guys a better angle here what I am doing, and I'm going to move this camera back a little bit. So here it is the top with that gardening tie around it so I'm just going to pull it down so that it is facing basically directly out towards the inside of the tent. It does not need to be pointing down towards the ground if you know what I mean, the talk come on all you have to do is bend it said it's basically at a 90 degree angle just pointing out straight horizontally.
So that was the first top and now I will do this one here, and the third one was this one here, so this one's actually taller so I'll do that one first. And you can see these all came, I'm going to give you guys are close up inside the canopy so you guys can see where these tops are coming from. So this one I tied down right there you can see it just came from the main stock. Part of that first LST been that I did, And then this next one here same thing just a little bit earlier actually in the stock, then this monster right here you can see how thick the stock is on this one already.
It just came out from the side there. Right there, so you can almost see how it is kind of like, you can kind of tell from the training it swells up like there is a ball right there. And that is just from the stress of the training, but that is a good sign because that also means the plant is focusing more nutrients and energy towards that area to get it big and strong. So now let me finish with these other two tops that I am pulling down. So I'm going to do this tall one first right here and just get the collar around and I'm actually going to go below this second note here. Just because I'd have some good Healthy Growth so I can get some extra tots out of it that way. And I'm just going to pull it down in this direction so it's away from everything else. And kind of had that new section grown out here. Because you do want to even the plant out and you don't want to grow it out all the one side or area of the pot.
Alright so now let me just reanchor that one, and now that one finally can be pulled down. Just the same technique and I'm going to go below that second note from the top, and I'm going to give you guys a quick close up here in a second of these little baby tops that are already forming below, just so you can see what they look like when they are at the very start. All right so there you go, all of them have been pulled down that I will be doing for today, and then here I will show you those very small leaves right there. They are going to grow out and becomes very made tops just like the main ones we've just pulled down that they are growing out of. So that is what they look like in the very beginning And you can see there are another two right here on this node and then a couple coming out of these notes right here.
So tons of new tops coming out from everywhere and you can see now with these new ones that I tied down it is exposing a lot of light to the center there and I am also noticing the plant lives looking like it's ready for me to turn on that Veg Dial, Alright guys I'm going to turn on that veg dial now on the lowest possible setting so let's see not on yet. Okay so right there in about 30%, I have the ved switch on and of course keeping the seedling dial on at a full 100% is that is how you're supposed to run these lights.
This plant isn't ready for a water and yet today I just felt the soil and still pretty moist at the top so you want it to be dry and inch deep before you water again, but I will give a plate PH missing right here. And I have been misting this plan about two to three times each day and you should be doing the same. Temperature and humidity still in the same range as always, and you can see this tie down has exposed a lot of light to the very center here of the plant. And again maybe even 2 weeks or 3 weeks I will be taking clones from her.
Because she is growing really well in this vegetative state here and is growing really well. She is really responding fast to all of the trading as well which is nice. This is nice also because it shows this is going to be some really good genetics that I am cloning. Sometimes if you clone a plant that glows really slowly or isn't very bigger S or showing healthy signs of a good plant or of a good strong genetic plant. If you clone that kind of plant you will get the same kind of results with the Clones. So cloning a plant that grows really well just like this is going to be good because those clones are going to have the same characteristics and are going to grow really well also.
What up folks it's another 24 hours later so we are back for six of the week here, and again just continuing with this awesome vegetative growth here and I am honestly seeing you toss here every day that are coming up through the canopy. So at this point I'm going to hold off with the low stress training so these tops can get a little taller and become suitable for taking as cuttings or clones. Because I do think at this point she is ready within a couple weeks or at least within a couple weeks of being ready to clone. So the soil is dry at this point in inch deep, so she is ready for her first plane pH watering since that last nutrient feeding, and I got it pH at 6.3. Again you can see this is the original main top right over here in the corner. But you can tell that there are so many other tops of grown up or if not bigger.
And they all started their Journey down at the road or at the base note of one of the tops just like that. Just a little leaf. So all it takes is exposing that little guy too some light coming eventually it's going to grow up into a big top like this one or any of these honestly that is up on the top of the canopy. So now I'm going to give it that plane pH watering, and I've got about a gallon mixed up here at six point three. But I am probably only going to use half of that gallon at most, and let me give you guys a good shot of the soil so you guys can see.
Okay so at this point soaking all of the topsoil as you don't want to leave anything wet so go out to the to the edge of the pot, I'm sorry I mean you don't want to leave anything tries to go all the way out to the edge of the pot and you should be getting a good amount of runoff at this point. Because we are getting a good size plant here, so I would say anywhere from 10 to 15% run off at this point is good. So don't need to give too much, and as you can see the soil starting to wash around a little bit, so I'm just going to give it that for now and then let it soak in and then I'll probably water another quarter of that gallon.
But you can see we are getting a good amount of runoff here, so that's it for today and I'm going to give her another plane pH misting as usual that's a daily thing Still. And then let me give you guys a quick aerial view just so you can see how big this plant is really getting. But you can see these two tops are kind of getting intertwined with each other, so I'm just going to bend them away so they grow apart. But yeah this lady is really doing well very vigorous growth which is good, Like I was saying because cloning that you were going to get the same kind of genetics are genes in the Clones that you are taking because it's going to be an identical replica of the mother plant therefore it is called a clone.
So yeah really fast and strong vegetative growth, can't wait to see how these plants flower because if it is going to grow like this during veg that means it's going to have some really good results during the flowering stage so very exciting stuff to come. People were mentioning to check and make sure to check it is a female. This is a feminized seed and I have been checking, but let's see if I can get you guys a close up here I'm going to try and get a close-up on one of these tops so you can see how it is showing its sex already. So here you can see we've got that new growth going out under there, and then there is also like right there you can see there is a little kind of white pistol that is forking off from the very side right there just touched it, and that is that you're female growth.
It's kind of like a white pistol that you can see growing and it's kind of to the left and between and it's kind of in between that main top and that little node and is kind of like that little white hair hold on. Not really showing, see how there's kind of that white pistol like right at the tip of my finger there. It's like in between that little top growing out of the left and then the note. And that is how you can tell, so you guys as how you're going to tell the sex of your plants and if there were little pollen sacs or balls growing that's how you know it would be a male. It wouldn't be that big at this point but you would be able to tell it is kind of the precursor to that growth.
As you saw we had those little white hairs growing like when Bud start to form and that is how you can tell it is a female. Again it's going to come from the note which is like where you will see new growth and new small baby growth coming from under the top, so it's usually were branches fork out from the main stock. And that is where the new growth and the sex of the plant will show. Alright guy said that is it for today's update and I will be back for your next one and another 24 hours.
What up Growers we are back here another 24 hours for the last day of week 3, and I've got a few cool things to show you guys. So first of all lots of really nice vegetative growth, and again I have that veg switch on and now it's at about 35% there, so that seedling dial is at 100% and veg switch at 30%. But anyways really good vegetative growth going and you can see the main top is really flourishing over here, but there are more new tops that have popped up through Under The Canopy and these two are the most noticeable, but something I found earlier this mean top got really strong and pulled the anchor here or the clip that was wrapped around the Buy a tie down wrapped around the pot, it ripped it off of there so I had to tape it And wrap it around.
So you can see the stock is getting really thick, and let me see if I can get a good shot okay here you go you can see the stock here I mean it's about as thick as my finger is like my index finger. So getting really big and then I wanted to give you guys a better close up to give you or show you the part of the plant that is showing the sex I didn't really get a good shot of it yesterday. But what we are looking for as those white Pistols that is kind of what you see coming out tops when they start to form, they usually start coming out of here during flower, but these kind of come out of the node area where a new pair of tops would typically be growing out of.
So yeah it's really easy to find it's kind of just coming out from the note here and it's just coming out from the middle of that growth and you will see a little white pistol. All right so yeah you can see right from the plant where it Forks out with those new branches you can see the white pistol is right up there. Kind of curling in right at the tip of my fingernail and you can see. So I just kind of touched it be a thinner than those green pieces of foliage there and they are usually kind of coming out from the middle of those and it is just that white hair.
And that shows you or signifies that this is a female plant, so that is good because we want to clone her obviously for the series so we want her to be a female and not a male. All right guys so now to finish up the day, I'm going to give a plane pH misting cover all that foliage from up top and underneath and kind of spray up from the ground like that to get the undersides of the leaves that way. So it was still really more since we did that watering yesterday believe it was but going to hold off on the list stress training for a few more days just so that branches continue to grow up.
Alrighty green box Growers that concludes week 3 of the mother plant and how to clone groceries. And like I have been saying, I am probably just going to let her grow a few more weeks In that vegetative growth before I take the Clones that way I love this talk to grow nice and Tall so I can get some nice healthy clones from them. So it's going to get really exciting here in the next couple of weeks because I will be cloning this limoncello haze mother plant around then. And once I do cloner I'm going to let those clones grow up nice and bushy and it's a good size plants, and then once I feel they're ready or big enough and size I'm going to let those clones go into flower as well as the mother plant. So we will be able to see if there's any differences in terms of vegetative or flower growth between the clones and the mother plant that they came from.
