More LST for the Agent Orange Grow!
Alright GreenBox Growers, so we are now back here for that week 2 of vegetation video for the agent orange beginner grow series! So it has been a full 24 hours since we did our first round of LST, and so since that is the case we should be seeing a good amount of New Growth when we check out the plants today. And then also for the next week we should really be hoping to see a lot of explosive growth. As that's what usually happens after that first round of LST. Yep so now that you guys know what we are doing and today's video let's get started with day 1 of the week!
Okay guys so here we are at the tent and it is day one of week 2, and now we are just going to take a look at the plants and as you can see they have handled the LST really well. They are already starting to shoot upwards towards the light at that new band we have formed. So that's a good sign that the plants have responded well to the training and are doing what they're supposed to be doing. So it looks like the soil is still moist enough underneath the surface that we don't need to water them today so we are just going to be checking on the girls, and then doing a quick misting okay. So let's go ahead and do that.
Yeah it is just once you have formed that been in the plant you can see the plant will start growing up from that point of new growth of towards the light and when the plant was originally bent after LST, it appears it is now standing back up again. So these plants are really quick to respond to that sort of training. And then also important to note, our light setting is at 25% right now and we are keeping it there for now. We will be sure to let you guys know if we up the power on that. So far everything is looking great, I'm happy with the results and I'm certainly excited to see what the next week has in store. So we will keep you guys posted.
Hey guys here we are, day 2 of week 2, let's check out the plants and see how they are doing. Okay so you guys can see right here that we have lots of new node growth going on on both of the plants. That is just at the nodes you see a lot more of those leaves sprouting up, but smaller ones, so that is really exciting to see as they are definitely responding well to the LST. And the soil is dry so we are going to go ahead and do a watering today, and since we have done 3 plane waterings we are going to do a nutrients feeding today.
And since this is vegetation this is going to be our first actual nutrients feeding for the vegetative cycle. So we will be doing week one of the dirty dozen vegetation cycle. It is going to be at half strength so just cut everything in half, and today we are going to be using the Big Bloom nutrient, and the boomerang. So we've got the Cal Mag as well and that is not prescribed by the fox farm Dirty Dozen instructions, and we are going to be doing that cal-mag at 1 teaspoon per gallon. But today we are going to be doing it at a half strength so just cut that in half and It’ll be half a tsp per gallon just like we're doing with the fox farm nutrients. Alright so let's give these guys a watering!
Alright so I did not even use the full half gallon there guys, so we're just going to give them a quick misting now. And that will be it for today. You can see some of the plants and here have gotten kind of dragged into the dirt. You just want to clean them off and clean them all just to make sure they are not resting it. Okay good that is better, ok guys that's it for today, we will see you next time.
Alright I guess who we are day 3 of week 2, let's check on the plants and see how they are doing. So they still look really healthy, green and good growth, but to be honest they look like they are kind of growing a little out too much. Compared to where Dylan's are at this stage and in the videos, these just don't look as tall, they just look more wide. So I suspect that the light is too strong, and I have seen a couple videos where Dylan mentions the effects on the leaves going wide from the light being too strong.
So I just went and lowered it about 5%. So we will see how that does, the soil still looks pretty damp. So we are just going to give them a few spritz says because I misted them a little earlier. Alright that does it for today guys, so we will see Alright that does it for today guys so we will see you next time and hopefully we will see A good response from lowering that light power and hopefully we will see a good upward growth from the plants.
Hey guys here we are for day 4 and let's check on the plants to see how they're doing. Okay so you guys can see they are doing much better Now that we have turned down the power to 20%, there is better upward growth, so what we have done. Is it kind of seemed like the plants, the light wasn't spreading far enough across them. Where it did not have a big enough footprint on the plans. So what we did was we raised the light and now it is having a much wider display on the plants.
And now that it is on a more appropriate height, we also turned the light back up to 25%. So I don't think this will be too intense for the plants, and it is all a trial-and-error process so we are just wanted to see how this works for the plants. But I do think that 25% will be better at this more appropriate height. So the soil is still moist so we are just going to do a quick misting today. Alright, so that is it for today guys and we will see you tomorrow.
Hey guys here we are for day five So, let's check out the plants and see how they are doing. All right so we already got some new tops coming in here, and you can see it's just a much bushier looking plant. You have some mean tops growing out of the big stem in the base. So that is cool to see, and it's just a much fuller looking plant both of them. So it is definitely responding really well to that reduction of power that we did on the light and the raising of the light as well. The distance we increased between the light and the plant is definitely helping with good upward growth.
Okay so the soil is just a little bit damp so we will water that tomorrow and today we are just going to do a misting. Okay that about does it guy so we will see you next time.
Hey guys who we are for day 6 of the week and let's check on the plants to see how they are doing. Okay so they are still just moving along they just look a little taller and Fuller. The soil is definitely dryer now so we will do a plane watering today. And this is going to be the first plane watering since we did the last nutrients feeding. We are going to be doing one of these spray bottles per plant I believe. But we will see here.
Hey guys welcome for day 7 of the week, let's check on the plants to see how they are doing. Alright so they look great and they are just Trucking right along. We are seeing more upward growth and they are expanding, the soil is still moist today so we are just going to be doing a misting. But first we are going to do a little bit of minor LSt. So what that means is we are just going to be using the three finger Technique, we are not going to be actually anchoring the plants down with those little wires. We are just using her fingers for this.
So the goal is to band the tops with that three-finger technique come away from the center of the plant in the light. Okay so I guess when I did it right, it looks like all of the tops are out and away from the center of the plant. So they are all splayed out like that. And that way they will grow a little more outward and everything in the middle is going to get good lighting and be able to grow up as well and we will be able to have a fuller plan because of this. So we are going to go ahead and do some LST on the second plant guys and then we will see you next week.
Alright GreenBox Growers so that concludes week 2 of vegetation for Cody's agent orange beginner grow series! So now that we have a few of those low-stress trainings in the books Cody, what would you say about that process was more difficult or easier than you thought it was going to be. Definitely easier because it's just going to be a matter of taking your time and being gentle with the plants.
They are pretty pliant so if you are just using that three-finger technique That you showed us, it is pretty easy to just bend them in a certain direction and guide them along. Definitely, all right so we will be back with next week's video shortly. Which organ will be week 3 of vegetation, and we will be continuing with that nutrients schedule as well as more low-stress training and even possibly some defoliation. So in the meantime, thank you guys for watching this week's video, we really hope you enjoyed it, and then till next time…
