SCROG Net is almost completely full!
What up GreenBox Growers and Welcome back to the OG Kush Screen of Green Grow series! Alright so today is the start of the week 6 of vegetation video and this week is going to be a really exciting one because we've got a lot of foliage and top growth or new tops growing in sent that last defoliation. So this week we are going to be focusing on letting the new growth come up through the scrog net, and like I was saying hopefully it will only be about two to three more weeks of vegetation before we flip them to flower. So we will be continuing with the nutrients schedule this week of course and we may even be doing a little bit of low stress training but mainly we just want upward growth at this point so we can add that second scrog net pretty soon here. So now that you guys know what we are doing in this week's video, let's get started with day one of the week!
Okay okay bro hours so if you're we are for the first day of the week and although it has only been a couple days since that last defoliation, you can see the plans have really recovered well and are taking off with a vegetative growth. So you have seen in those last couple of Montage shots that we are doing that three-finger three-finger low-stress training just trying to open up the canopy and allow for more light penetration. But at this point I'm going to hold off on that for the next few days to allow for Upward growth through the scrog net.
Now once tops get high enough up through the scrog net where I can train them and pull the top to a further Square, I will be doing that. But none of the low stress training for the lower tops that have yet to go through the SCROG net. So today's update is going to be a pretty basic one I'm just to remind you guys to shake up those canisters for the CO2, and then we are going to be doing a misting as well as a watering as the plants are ready. So this is going to be there third plane watering since the last nutrient feeding and again we are going to be splitting two gallons between all four plants. So let's get started with that watering!
All right growers so welcome back another 24 hours later for day 2 of the week! You can see we are getting a lot of growth up through the SCROG net. And you can see they are really filling out nicely with more tops every day! So that is exactly what we want, we are not going to be doing any LST training or bending today as I've been saying. Just wanted to let them grow up three than that.
And none of them are high enough up through the night yet at this point where I can pull them out to a different square with that kind of training. So we won't be messing with any of the branches at this point. All I will be doing it today is shaking up the CO2 canisters as well as giving the plants a good misting, and they are still good from yesterday's watering so no need to worry about that. All right so I'm going to go ahead and give them a misting and show you got some closeups on the plants, and then I'll see you guys back here for day 3 of the week!
What up Growers are we are back here another 24 hours later for day 3 of the week and as you can see the plants are doing really well in terms of growing up through the SCROG net. So you can see all four of the plants have several tops through the SCROG net, and we are just going to leave them alone in terms of low-stress training at this point. We just want to let them to continue with growing up. Show for today all we are going to be doing is shaking the CO2 canisters of course if you are using them, we are going to be giving them a misting, and then actually they are also ready were there next nutrients feeding.
So before I get into what we are feeding them, I just want to say we will probably be training these tops through different squares starting either tomorrow or the day after. It just depends on how tall they get, but when I say no more LST I am just talking about the three finger bending. Once you do have a top that is tall enough through one of the scrog net squares, you do want to train it to a further one out horizontally. So another thing is I also turned on the carbon filter reason being is humidity was getting really high, like up in the upper 80s, and at this point we want to be around 55 to 65%.
So I have been running the carbon filter and so far 24 hours a day for the last day, and you can see it as keeping it around 55%. And when the tent is closed it is more like 60%. So that's going to help the plants out a lot as well. So if you guys come down here you will see, Cody want to show them the feeding schedule. So far today we are going to be doing week for a vegetation from the fox farm Dirty Dozen.
We are doing it at full strength and I am going to be splitting two gallons between all four of these plants. So I will be doubling the amount that I add just because I have two gallons and then also I will be doing one teaspoon of Cal Mag per gallon of water. So that is what we have mixed up for the nutrient feeding today and now we are going to give them that watering and also a misting. And after that we will see you guys back here for day 4 of the week!
Alright Growers so we are back here another day later and you can see the scrog net has filled up a lot more with different tops just since yesterday. So it is now day 4 of the week and the plants are actually not ready for their next watering, it has been two days but I think now that I have been running the carbon filter that is actually helping with regulating the conditions in here a little more properly. So they are not drying out as quickly. So today we will just be doing a misting on the plants as well as shaking the CO2 canisters of course. We are not going to be doing any low-stress training, I just want to let them keep growing up through the scrog net like this.
I still want to fill out the squares that are right here, you don't want to flip them into flower until the scrog net is completely full or as full as you want it to be because once you do, they will still grow more vegetative growth. But they are not really going to grow new tops or anything like that. So right now we're just working on getting as many tops going as possible, as well as leveling them out so they are all at the same height. And the reason being is because then they will all get the same amount of light, allowing them to all get really large in size.
When you have colas or branches that are hiding under others or hiding in the shadows of other tops, those ones will still grow buds but they are not going to fully develop and that is what will cause you to get that LARFY kind of popcorn bud results. So we want to get rid of that and we want to prevent as much of that as possible. We will also be doing a lollipopping where we remove all of this fully Edge from the lower third of each plant. Again to help with preventing the popcorn and LARFY Bud's from forming. And you can see they have gotten really bushy since that second defoliation that we did, I think it's only been about four or 5 days.
Maybe a week now since we did that last defoliation. But I will probably hold off on that until we are about ready to go into flower. And then at that point I will do the lollipopping as well as I will thin out the upper canopy of defoliation. So that is really it for today's update, I'm going to give them a misting now and then I will see you guys back here in 24 hours for day 5 the week!
Alright so we are now back here for the very next day which means it is now day 5 of the week, and ladies are now ready for their next watering. So we are going to be giving them their first plane watering sent that last nutrient feeding, and we are again going to be splitting two gallons between all four plants. Are you guys can see the scrog net is as full as ever with more and more touch growing through it every day. So that is really good, we are not going to be doing any low-stress training just yet, they are getting close to being ready.
But probably not for a few more days. So besides the watering we will be misting them today as well as shaking up the CO2 canisters by TNB Naturals of course, and then I just wanted to let you guys know I'm actually leaving out of town for the next couple of days for the Thanksgiving holiday, so if you ever have to leave your plans for a few days. Or even up to a week, that is totally fine.
If it is a longer duration I recommend having an automated watering system, but since I'm only going to be gone for two days, I will be watering them today. And I always recommend doing a little bit of extra water if you are leaving for the next few days just so they don't dry out while you were gone. All right guys so that is pretty much it for day 5 of the week and now let's get started with that watering and misting, and then of course I will see you guys back here when I get back here from my trip for day 6 of the week!
Alright grocery I just got back from my little vacation there that I left for a couple days ago, and when I got back I checked on the plants immediately and noticed they were a little overdue for their next watering. So I already went ahead and gave them that watering, split two gallons of plain water between all for plants. And again that was their second plane watering since the last nutrient feeding. So besides that I'm not going to be doing too much else to them today because it is not really good to train or defoliate when they are under-watered like so.
And you can see on some of the bigger plants some of the bigger tops our kind of drooping over. So we want to avoid that as much as possible. I should have known to water them a little bit extra than what I did, but that was my mistake and luckily we got back just in time so that's not going to cause any issues whatsoever. So also be sure to shake up your CO2 canisters as always, and then I'm just going to give them a plane misting and that will be it for today. So I will see you guys back here in 24 hours for day 7 of the week! Peace!
What up Growers so we are not back here for the last day of the week, and today is actually going to be a big update because we actually just added in the second 300 watt electric sky LED. So we've got both of them running now, and because of this adjustment you do want the plants to have time to adapt to the added wattage, so I made sure to erase both of them as high as possible. You can see I'm no longer using those hangers or the adjustable hangers because I now just hung them by the actual hanger itself that comes with the light. So I've got both of them raised up as high as possible and we will lower them slowly as the plants adjust however.
Now the reason I added that second lies because as you can see the plants are just filling out that scrog tremendously. And in the corners of the tent it was starting to get a lot of shade and darkness so those new tops that were coming in around the edges were not getting enough light. So I got the second light going on in there and since we have a lot of foliage coming up through the net, we are going to be doing a low stress training today with that three-finger technique. And then we are also going to be pulling those branches through squares that are further away from the center of the tent.
So we will also be giving a misting of course and shaking up those TNB Naturals CO2 canisters if you are using them. Now since we have the second light on there, it is going to give off extra heat and it is going to warm the tent up a lot more. Should I counteract that just turned the AC unit down to a cooler level and that will just adjust the temp properly. But I was really important that you maintain that same temperature and humidity range even when you have the second light going because if you don't that will stress the plants.
Suggest a quick overview of that amazing foliage that we have growing through at the scrog net as well as up on the sides. And now that you guys have seen what we are doing today, let's get started with that low stress training and misting and then I will see you guys back here for the next week in this Grow Series!!
Alright GreenBox Growers, so that officially concludes week 6 of that OG Kush Screen of Green Grow series, and now that we have that second Electric Sky LED going in there it should only be a maybe another week to 2 weeks Max before we get that second layer of the scrog net in the tent. Now after that layers in there, it will probably only be another week before we start flour and there will be some defoliation as well as a lollipopping involved during that stage. But of course I will give you guys more details once we get to that. So as always thank you guys for watching this week's video, I really hope you enjoyed it and until next time…
