Pressing Rosin Chips for Max Yields

What's up Cannabis Growers and welcome back for another episode of GreenBox Grown! My name is Dylan and today I will be showing you guys How to Press those Rosin Chips you get after Pressing your nugs. I will be using my Rosineer Manual Rosin Press and will be pressing some Double Tangie Banana Rosin Chips from a few days ago.

So the first thing you'll want to do is turn the press on and get it warmed up. I'll be pressing at 100 degrees C as that is where I get the best results. You'll see in the video that some of the chips I use are from a 2 gram run while a couple are actually from 3 gram runs.

While the press is warming up, you'll want to prep your rosin chip. The best way to do this is by folding it in half once, and then in half a second time. Take the stack and put it between a piece of parchment paper, and you are ready to press it! I have also found that the chips press out a lot higher yields when you wait for them to cool off before pressing again. Now that the rosin press is warmed up, you are ready to go. Make sure you place the folded up puck in the middle of the plates and begin to slowly pull down on the lever.

This is important because it allows the weed gradually warm up instead of burning. Pull all the way down until the lever locks out, and then let it said for about 45 seconds to 1 minute 30 seconds. Once enough time has passed, lift the lever and check out your freshly pressed rosin! You'll see in the video that I wasn't able to pull the lever all the way down on one of the chips, and that one ended up giving the lowest yield of them all.

So that's why it's important to lock the lever out! Interestingly enough, I had a chip that pressed out greenish colored rosin, which I hadn't seen before. I tried smoking it, and while it was potent it was very plant tasting. The other chips pressed out some really fire golden colored rosin which tasted phenomenal!

Alright growers, that is all I have for now! But be sure to stay tuned as I will be doing a new pressing video where I press some dry sift hash, and I will be pressing some flower in a filter bag! As always, thank you for watching and until next time...
