Watering Schedule for Week 2 of the SCROG Grow Series
What’s up cannabis growers and welcome back for Week 2 of the Screen of Green Series by Greenbox Grown! This week will be broken down into 2 videos, this video which is the watering schedule for the week, and then the next video which will include the LST and hook training for the week. As always, be sure to visit greenboxgrown.com for the full SCROG Video Series. Id also like to mention if you’re using a different nutrient setup then the Fox Farm, that is completely ok, just be sure to follow the same week as I do for each feeding. For example, if I do week 1 on my feed chart, you do week 1 on your feed chart. Alright now lets go check out the first watering of the week.
Alright so here we are for day one of week 2 and you can already see how the plants have recovered. There is definitely noticeable change and the leaves look much healthier and perky. Right now I am feeding them a plain pHd watering at 5.8 and and giving a little more than previously. Once the watering is complete, I give each plant a good misting so all the leaves are covered, and then I’m done for the day.
This is 2 days later and the plants are ready for water again. It’s been 3 waterings since my last nutrient feeding, so I am now going to give the plants their week 2 nutrient feeding mix. Remember to also add half a tsp of coco wet per gallon of water to help the plants with absorbing the feeding. Once you’ve added everything, stir it together and then pH accordingly. Now you are ready to water. Since this is only the second nutrient feeding, I would mix it at half strength and I would only give each plant a little bit like I am doing in the video here. They do not need a lot of nutrients just yet and over feeding them early on in the grow will lead to serious problems very quickly!
Now that I am done watering, I will mix the Fox Farm foliar spray and mist it onto the plants. It isn’t crucial to use a foliar spray, I just am because it came with the Dirty Dozen pack. If you don’t have a foliar spray, just mist with plain pHd water giving each plant a good covering. Foliar sprays don’t need coco wet in them but I do pH them so they are in the range of 5.5-6.5.
This is one more day later and the soil is still too wet for another watering, so I will only be giving the plants a plain pH misting. If you look, you can notice how green the leaves are getting, where before they were sort of yellow and dropping a lot. Now they are standing straight up and have several new tops that are growing out!
Here we are for the last day of the week and the plants are ready for a feeding, so I will give them a plain pH watering as well as a plain misting. 2 things I want to point out about this shot. First, those leaves that are turning really yellow on each plant are the ones that where trimmed down when the clone was taken. That is why they are yellowing, which is completely normal so there is nothing to worry about. The second thing is I am not soaking the whole area of topsoil with water as you can see, I am only going a little ways out. Once the plants get larger you will be able to water more, but right now the root don’t need that much.
Alright guys that concludes the Week 2 Nutrient and Watering Schedule for the SCROG Series. You are now ready to watch the Week 2 LST & Hook Training video, and those training techniques are something you will be doing everyday to your plants so be sure to stay on top of it for best results!
