First Nutrient Feeding for the SCROG Grow

What’s up Cannabis Growers, my name is Dylan and welcome back to The Screen of Green Series by GreenBox Grown.  We are still in week 1 of the grow and in todays video I will be demonstrating how to give your plants their first nutrient feeding.  If your plants are past this stage in their lifecycle, just visit the full SCROG Grow Series at greenboxgrown.com.  Alright, now lets go see how to mix that week 1 nutrient feeding!

As you can see here, I will be using the Fox Farm Dirty Dozen nutrient line, but for this grow series, you can use what ever mix of nutrients you prefer.  Since I am growing in a coco coir mix, I will be adding half a tsp of CoCo Wet per gallon of water to help with the absorption of nutrients by the roots system.  I will also recommend adding a full tsp of Cal Mag Product per gallon of nutrient feeding you do as this will really with keeping your plants strong and healthy.  I also have a pH pen and pH down so i can adjust the mixes accordingly, and will be using the pH range of 5.8-6.3 for all waterings.

Here is the feeding chart that comes with the Dirty Dozen Kit, and most nutrient companies provide a feeding chart that you can find on their website for personal use.  It is important to follow a feeding schedule, as the plants needs change over the course of the grow, especially once they are in flower.  Ok so I will be following the week 1 mix for this feeding, and I am using the Soil feeding schedule since I am growing in a soil medium.  I will be using the Foliar spray over the course of this grow, but I wont be starting it just yet.

Now its time to mix everything together, and there is actually an important order to follow.  First you want to add all of the nutrients, then the coco wet.  At this point you'll stir everything together,  test the pH, and then adjust accordingly.  Once you are in the range of 5.8-6.3 pH you are ready to water.  Be sure to water gently so you don't move the soil around and disturb the roots, and you don't have to water too much at this point since the plants are still small.  Just water around the base about 4-5 inches out from the base and you are good. It is not shown in this video, but I also give the plants a misting of plain pHd water and this will just be pHd in the range of 6-6.3.  Once you are done with the misting, you have completed your first nutrient feeding!

Alright guys so that concludes The Week 1 Nutrient Feeding for the Screen of Green Grow Series by GreenBox Grown.  The next video in this series will be the last for Week 1, and will entail adding the LST Hooks to my Blue Dream Plants!  If you enjoyed the video, please give us a thumbs up and don't forget to comment below with your feedback.  Also don't forget to subscribe to my channel if you haven't already done so!  As always, thank you for watching and until next time…
